The heating element in your stove is connected to electrical wiring. Before you can safely start this project, you must unhook these connections. First, pull the stove away from the wall, and find its electrical outlet. Then, remove the plug from the power socket. If you can’t reach the plug, you’ll need to flip the breaker on your circuit breaker panel. The panel will have many breakers. However, only one breaker will appliances in the kitchen.

Phase Two

Next, open the oven door, and locate the screws on the heating element. A typical heating element will have two to three screws that are designed for a Phillips screwdriver.

After the screws are removed, carefully lift the element, and pull it out of the oven. The element may be connected to multiple wires. If the wiring is complicated, you should label them. This strategy will help you reinstall the element correctly when you’re done cleaning the stove.

Other appliances that use a heating element will need maintenance too. If you have powerful heaters and other hardworking appliances, they might need a new element. There are many companies that provide excellent custom-made heating elements.
