A Guide to the Types of Atlanta Apartments

by | Oct 4, 2022 | Real Estate

If you’re in the market for a new rental apartment, you’ll notice that there is enormous variety in terms of Atlanta apartments on the market. How do you know which one is right for you?

Here is a guide to some of the most common terminology you will find on apartment listings.

Condos

A condo or a condominium is an apartment that is part of a building full of other similar properties. Condos are owned by individuals, not property management companies, and owners may choose to rent out their apartments. Some renters prefer to live in condos because the buildings come with some shared amenities, and renting from a person is more personal than renting from a corporation.

However, condo Atlanta apartments come with some drawbacks, such as sometimes-complex condominium rules and fees.

Luxury Residences

Luxury residences take renting to the next level. These complexes, such as the Icon Buckhead Apartments, have rental apartments but throw in extra amenities such as bars, lounge spaces, and even pools to add a touch of class. If you have the money but are not ready to settle for the responsibilities of homeownership yet, luxury residences are for you.

Regular Apartments

Regular apartments are any apartments that don’t fall under the previous two categories. They vary in terms of size, from studios to 2- or 3-bedrooms, location, and arrangement. Many apartments are in large complexes, while some are sectioned-off areas of private homes.

Read each listing carefully to see which type of Atlanta apartment agrees with you.
