Getting the Most Out Of Visiting Park City

Are you going to be heading to Park City, Utah sometime in the near future? Are you looking into a few Park City hotels for local accommodations? Well, there are plenty of nice places to stay in the city and you are bound to find something that works for both you and the people you are coming with. This lovely town is home to the Sundance Film festival and as always will be hopping come that time of year so if you plan on heading out to the area for the festivities then you are going to want to make sure to book reservations early unless you want to be stuck on the outside looking in.

What Is There to Do in The Area?

If you plan on making a winter time trip there are three different skiing resorts in the area including one that is part of the town itself. They also boast a Center for the Performing Arts, the Utah Symphony Opera, and the Egyptian Theatre. The region is absolutely beautiful and is close to many parks such as the local Olympic Sports Park as well as a hand full of state parks that you could also visit. There is some great shopping all along Main Street and the Tanger Outlet for people who are on the prowl for a good deal. There will be plenty for you to do once you have a look around.

The Sundance Film Festival

Park City, Utah is home to the Sundance Film festival. It is an annual showing of many new feature length films and small pieces that was established in 1978 by actor and director Robert Redford. It is one of the local main attractions and tourist draws. Thousands of people flock to the area each year hoping to get a glance at some of the newest movies to hit the screen and also to hear about what is best at the event. If they are really lucky they might even get a glimpse of a celebrity of some other famous person. Many of the festival’s theatres are in the vicinity of downtown and others are easily within shuttle or driving distance.
