Hoffman Estates Botox: Not Just For Wrinkles Anymore!

by | Sep 5, 2020 | Healthcare

Everyone is booming about Botox in Hoffman Estates. It has definitely gone around in celebrity circles, but many regular men and women are considering it, and not just to reduce the look of wrinkles. While it can work to gently relax the lines of the face, causing you to look younger, it can also be used to lift up the eyelids, slim the face, stop underarm sweating and even reduce migraines. You may have different results than others, but it is worth a try to reduce some of the annoyances your body now has because of age or other reasons.

Eyelid Lift

Your eyebrows have two sets of muscles: one set lowers them and the other set heightens them. In essence, you can use Botox to weaken the muscles that pull down on the eyebrows, which will allow them to be pulled up slightly, giving you the appearance of an eyebrow and eyelid lift.

An added benefit is that the procedure can also reduce the look of crow’s feet, or the wrinkles going outwards from the side of the eye.

Slimmer Face

Many people tend to have a square jaw line because they clench or grind their teeth frequently. Over time, this will create a square-ish jaw and it can make women appear to have masculine traits. The chemical can be injected into the main jaw muscle that is used for chewing, called the masseter muscle, which can slim the jaw line and give a more feminine appearance. The muscle will reduce in size and relax and will not hinder eating or chewing.

Underarm Sweating

Excessive underarm sweating, or Hyperhidrosis can occur in the armpits, hands and feet. The FDA has recently approved the injections to treat underarm sweating, which can be very embarrassing. The drug is injected into the underarm using a fine needle. The chemical acetylcholine is prevented from being released, so the sweat glands are tricked into not releasing the sweat.
Migraines

Hoffman Estates Botox treatments may not be the first course of action when you have migraines, but if you have tried other methods, such as medication, to no avail, it may be able to help. The FDA has approved it for use in treating migraines, though you should talk with your doctor first about other medicines and therapies. Contact us at Ashpole Plastic Surgery for more information.
